Duckling having balance issues

One last question! Husband is super concerned about her still, do you think that following your instructions exactly will lead to full or near recovery?
No Guarantee! I assume, that additional Calcium will help her grow her legs stronger, but she may be waddling more than your other ducks. When my White Layers want to run really fast, like keeping up with the Runners, i regularly wet my pants: Imagine a big white round slipper on too short legs, bouncing from one leg to the other, while the whole duck is swinging sideways…

I literally have this duck on video monitor routed live stream to my phone so if she flips back over I can get there asap. Unfortunately my son has a 2 hour long therapy appointment tomorrow that's over an hour away. I have no issue with babying her later in life but this whole ordeal is nerve wracking!

Try the straw, or put her on a wrinkly old towel. She needs something to "lock" her feet on.

Thanks! I think she will be ok...will try a towel until I can get over to our feed store today...been thinking long and hard and I believe she has fallen this way due to trying to jump out. Mallory, her friend, has been outside of the crate on both occurances. She gets wild and just jumps out. opinions on temporarily separating them? I know they need friends to have good mental health so I obviously don't want to separate them unnecessarily.

No, don't separate them, unless really, really necessary, i.e. an injury. Ducklings need the contact, physical contact with other ducklings. And yes, there is a real possibility she has injured herself, trying to climb out. Ducklings are tiny, fluffy explorers.

Will be putting a screen over top! I really didn't want to separate the partners in crime.

I will never forget that afternoon, when i came back home from grocery shopping, clicked on the remote for the garage door and ducklings looked out of the garage. They had pulled down the tarp of their brooder and chewed through the cardboard-wall. That was when i realized its time for them to go outside…
