I usually use pee pads or shelf liner for a week just to give them time to figure out what's to eat and what isn't.

I can see how the early hatching could have happened then since PP is only middle man and they work with breeders all over the USA so early hatching could have been the problem with your little one.

I ordered Salmon Faverolles from Purely Poultry almost 2 yrs ago and the chicks came from Missouri. I was very pleased. Hope they will make this good for you too I am sure they will.
