When you say "just hatched" - are we talking minutes ago, hours ago, a day ago?

Have you handled the duckling at all yet and, if so, were you able to physically manipulate the legs in a normal range of motion?

Yes i have and yes i can move them but they go right back

He may have been too crowded in the egg. Give him some time to see if he is able to stretch out and work his legs. In the meantime you can gently dip his beak in water, so he learns to drink, and bring food close to him if he wants to eat.
