Duckling humming/quacking???

Yesterday the ducks were in their bin, swimming. I heard Puddles making a sound, it sounded sort of like humming, almost like she was trying to quack, but it sounded nothing like a quack. I figured it was too early, because they were only 13 days old yesterday. Do you think she was trying to quack???
