Duckling in distress

I have a pekin duck that is sitting on eggs. We found a dead duckling a couple of days ago and then found an alive one today that she seems to have no interest in. I have it inside now in a make shift nest on a heating pad on low. It has a small sore on its head but is alive and moving. Seems very lethargic though. Any advice?
