I have a pekin duck that is sitting on eggs. We found a dead duckling a couple of days ago and then found an alive one today that she seems to have no interest in. I have it inside now in a make shift nest on a heating pad on low. It has a small sore on its head but is alive and moving. Seems very lethargic though. Any advice?

Pekins (or any duck) that go broody may or may not have great mothering skills. Pekins have the extra challenge of weight that can cause the best intended mother to squash ducklings. The sore on the head makes me wonder if she thinks the ducklings are intruders in her nest.
Set up a heat source, water, and food to brood the ducklings your self.

She must just not know what to do with them. Unfortunately I found another one on the ground this morning. I took her other egg that is close to hatching and out it in the incubator. I have this newest one under a brooder plate now. I'm not sure if it will make it though. It has something going on with his umbilical cord.
