Duckling just hatched, open belly *edited for leg question^

I just took this duckling from Mama as she kicked it out of the house twice. I thought it had a leg issue but upon further examination it looks like it has an opening on its belly that's oozing. Any suggestions or ideas on possible helps?

Put non-pain relieving Neosporin on the belly. I had a duckling hatch like this. It healed up great and she was just fine.

It happens if they detach from the egg / yolk too soon. Just let the little one rest and it should be just fine.

I only have Neosporin with pain relief. Would bag balm work? In my giant first aide kit I have almost everything except pain free Neosporin

I wouldn’t use it. Triple antibiotic would be your best bet. If you can run to get some that is.

Don’t use anything with with “pain relief” and I agree with @A_Fowl_Guy; triple antibiotic would be a safe bet.
