As I was writing this to you all, my husband went out to close the barn door for all the ducks for the night.....and it looks like the drake attacked and killed one of the ducklings. It was out of the brooding area and it's head was practically off and it had a puncture wound on it's abdomen. I just scooped up the remaining ones and brought them into the house too. Another one has a wound on it's abdomen as well. It's just red and missing hair, but the duckling appears very weak. Is it best to hand raise them now? I don't want anymore to die. This is the second one today!
Do you have a way to separate them so the drake cant get to the ducklings, but can still see them?
