Duckling pic :-) Breed, sex?

yes, that is the color of one of my supposed buffs bills pinkish bluish. And the other has a bill that is more orangy. At least I can be sure I have one buff...lol. and very possibly two. thanks guys!

They get more bluish purple as the buffs get older, and then one of the first indications of a buff's sex, is the bill. The females will be darker, and the male kind of tanish/yellowish after several weeks.

ahh ic. Well I hope that this duck is not an early identifier! My favorite duck of all 7 is the buff with an orangy bill!!!! Its the first duck to waddle into my hand to be held and picked up! I already have one too many boys in the yard. lol. Of course, if it does turn out to be a boy I'll have to keep him and rehome one of my older (adopted) pekin boys. But as you say, if it takes a few weeks to really get the color clues, maybe I still have hope. lol. I just KNOW this is a boy...I just know it. ugghhhh. lol. Will they refund my extra $1.55 for getting the sex wrong? LOL
