This lethargic two-day old duck has a bloody thing coming from her,I think it's a hernia or a worm. Any ideas? Looks like she's gonna pass but I want to know if it will affect the other ducklings.

is it coming out of the umbilical area (belly button), or the vent (poop hole)? It looks like it's coming from the vent hole. She passed away not even a few minutes after posting this, but I am still wondering what happened so I can help other ducks if they show this.I am so sorry.is it coming out of the umbilical area (belly button), or the vent (poop hole)?
It was probably a prolapse, which could have been caused from her straining to poop. I think your other ducklings will be fine, just make sure they have lots of fresh water.Okay, thank you! I give them electrolytes in their water and it has never caused problems before - would it make this worse or should they just have normal water? They are electrolytes for ducklings from Tractor Supply.Very sorry for your loss.It was probably a prolapse, which could have been caused from her straining to poop. I think you can stop the electrolytes and give just plain water.Okay, thank you! I give them electrolytes in their water and it has never caused problems before - would it make this worse or should they just have normal water? They are electrolytes for ducklings from Tractor Supply.
