Duckling puberty?

I think my lil one is starting to get a voice change! What do y’all think this will turn into, quack or hoarse drake sound? It almost sounds like a goose right now!

This is a runner duck who is three weeks old.

I call this »quaxing«! - Not really a »quack«, but definitely not a »peep« anymore!
Yes, she is developing her mature voice and will drive you insane in about two weeks when she will run around the whole day trying out how loud she can QUACK!
This is the funniest time with ducklings, sometimes they get shocked about their own voice: »Peep, peep, peep, quax! … Peep?«
