Duckling Question.......Can they eat the same food? HELP!!!!

Non medicated is best for waterfowl. Keep an eye on their legs. If they get wobbly, you may need to supplement them with niacin. Chick starter doesn't have all the niacin that waterfowl babies need. But that is fairly rare, I am guessing.
I raise my babies on gamebird starter for the fist month or so and switch to Triple Duty til lay.

My DH ordered four turkey poults Does anybody have any idea what they need I called the local feed store they do not carry turkey starter only chick starter Can they eat that. Its medicated. I read that they need medicated starter like chickens do Also it said to keep turkeys away from chickens because of blackhead????? any information would be appreciated. Thanks,Micki

Cheri---- Thanks!!! I like it too!!!! Although my store doesn't get the chicks and duck n anymore

Just realized I forgot to post an update on Bo and Belle...thats what my kids named the babies..lol

They are doing great, but poor Bo has Bowed legs. It's not bad, it just seems that maybe they were kept in a very small area and their leg muscles seem to need strengthening. They walk just fine and they are eating and drinking very well. the more they are out and about, the better they seem to do. At first , they would walk a few steps and then sit down and they would sit to pick grass and things. now that they are getting god exercise, they are doing much better. It is such a shame what some people do with their animals...the box that they were dropped off in was just big enough for them to sit side by side int here..you can tell they lived in ther for a while. They seem to have bonded with my Doberman, Major....lol He lays out next to their pen and when they are let out to roam the yard, they follow him around...

At this point they are doing great and seem to be happy little babies. They sleep inside at night and are out in their pen during the day with their beloved Major.
