Duckling question

How soon after hatching should ducklings be introduced to the their pool?

By the time they are a few days old they enjoy some supervised pool time. But be careful they water log quick without mom's oils to water proof them. Only give them a couple minutes to begin with then place them in a warm draft free area to dry off.

Enjoy! nothing funner than watching ducklings swim!

Yeah just give them a little bit of a bath time once or twice a day and make sure they get dried off good. They don't have any waterproofing until they get their feathers and they can easily drown if they get too tired.

I like to use paint trays for early baths. The water isn't to deep and they can run up and down the tray.

At what age do they get their feathers and when can they be left unsupervised by the water?
