Duckling Shipping

Hi, I am shipping ducklings soon and need to know EVERYTHING about it. If you guys know anything about it don't be afraid to say something. Where do I get a heat pad to put in box? Where do I get a box? Do the ducklings need food or water (shipping day olds)? If you have any advice anything at all just say it. Thanks!

If shipping 20 or more, they shouldn't need heat.

Approved boxes are expensive.

They won't need food or water if shipped as they hatch and overnighted or priority.

Depending on the state they're going to, you'll likely need a permit and NPIP #.

You can contact the destination state NPIP office to find out the legal requirements.

They are going to California. Where does the permit and everything go. I am not npip....But am vaccinating the duckling. I am only shipping one..... And the ones buying know how it is going to be costly to ship. Will it help to ship 19 chicks with it for warmth?

California requires a VS Form 9-3 for all shipments into the state.
Most likely a box of live poultry coming in without the form will be confiscated.

Flocks not certified NPIP need to be certified by the state livestock sanitary official with a state approved vet performing a Pullorum test.

I was wrong she lives in washington do they need the papers. I shipped ducks to kentucky and they didnt need paper. Do only ducklings need papers.

All poultry and ratites need papers if the destination state requires it.
Washington requires a 9-3 or substitute certificate signed by your Official State Agency or Sanitary Livestock Official.
Your agency is the PA Dept. of Ag, Bureau of Animal Health and Diagnostic Services in Harrisburg.
Kentucky doesn't require paperwork.
