Duckling still attached to umbilical cord. *A couple ?s

I have a duckling in the incubator right now who is still attached to its umbilical cord. It has been like this for about a day. What should I do? Should I just leave it for the time being?

One of my ducklings hatched like that last year. I put her in a warm brooder by herself and all was well the next day. I added a bowl of warm water and a sponge to the brooder for extra moisture.

I would leave it alone in the incubator. It will dry up.

I just had a duckling hatch with a goopy mess attached to her naval. I am attaching a picture. Please tell me what it is and what I should do with it!
