Hello all
So I have six new Call ducklings, hatched 6/14/14 the smallest had a rough time hatching and is having real troubles staying on his feet. He tips over on his back and can't get back over. The lil guy seems fine once I set him right but I'll go and come back to find him the same again... I have had Call ducklings that would lose footing or balance when cleaning themselves and flip over on their backs but they always managed to right themselves without my help. Any advice would be great...
Thanks

Sounds like someone needs some B vitamins.

That is often associated with neurological problems, and this sounds like that.

Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks suggests 100 to 150 mg plain niacin per gallon of drinking water for several weeks.

Some folks add brewer's yeast to the food. I made some guesses based on nutrient values and how much water a duckling might drink to come up with an estimate of a tablespoon of brewer's yeast per day per three ducklings - go with what you think is a good amount.

If it is a B vitamin deficiency, folks have seen improvement within days.
