Duckling very splay legged. Help!

I have a day old duckie in a bit of a pickle. The poor thing didn't absorb all of the yolk, probably spent most of his time flailing around like a turtle in the incubator when nobody was home, and is now very splay legged and weak.

He's out on the porch with the others, but is still having trouble moving despite the hobbles that I put on him. Is there anything else I can do? I'd hate to just sit back and watch him get weaker and weaker.

I'm not sure what else you can do, just make sure he is able to eat and drink enough. He might get stronger and his legs right themselves.

I think he's half runner which is awesome. I love runners, but we only have one right now. Anyway, when I put him back in with his buddies he seemed much better, and now he's walking around like normal. I'll probably take the hobbles off tomorrow or the next day, before he grows too big for them.
