I just had a hatch of Saxony ducks hatch out yesterday, but this morning I noticed the smallest has one foot crumpled up so that when he walks he walks on his knuckles. When I am holding him I can stretch out his foot normally and his toes are only a little crooked. Is there some type of brace that I can make for him? I only have 7 of the little guys and it would be a shame to cull him. Any ideas?

You might try a band-aid--make something similar to the brace used for slipped chicks...but try straightening out the foot and then using two band-aids to "sandwich" the foot and make it correct? It might work? I've only had one goose hatch like that and it eventually grew out of it.

Maybe use some thing like a tongue depressor with a bang aid or medical tape.

Thank you for the link! It started to correct itself, but I still put on a foot brace for good measure. Hopefully it will grow normally!
