Okay so this is new for me, I have had ducklings that sounded funny but usually just had something stuck in their nose or mouth and i could fix that right away. This little girl though, sounds like she has a runny nose.. no discharge or anything, just sounds like she's snifflings a runny nose, make sense? She is also holding her mouth a little open to breath too.
I checked her nostrils and they're clear, checked her mouth and pulled some gunk out from under her tongue but everything else looked clear... even checked her throat with a Q-tip.. i know that sounds mean but i was worried and it didn't seem to hurt or even bother her.
I am GUESSING this is a respiratory thing so I put some durramycin in the wayer with some ACV. I moved it into the house brooder where it's warmer. There is also a chick(same age) that WAS making similar noises so they're both hanging out together for treatment.
does it sound like a respiratory infection or maybe something else?
