Is it safe and okay to add new ducklings to a brooder with 3-week-old ducklings?
Sadly, half our ducklings died during shipment. So we have 3 now and the company is sending 3 “replacements” next month. Would it be ok to add them with the others? After so much planning, this adventure hasn’t gone as planned!
(I’m also very worried about the shipment, so I’m trying to see if I can intercept it a day earlier at a sorting facility.)

It really depends on age/illness transmission. If the ducklings you're getting are younger, they're at high risk of getting trampled by the older ones. You also risk passing anything from the new ducklings to your older ones if they arrive sick.

I would do a separate brooder, and watch them for a few weeks and make sure everything is okay first before combining the two.
