Ducklings and yarn. Any experience?

My ducklings will be hatching soon. I am making a wool hen as they call it to go along with the other source of heat. It is an old plastic cat litter box. I have of piece of cardboard that i am tying strips of fleece to. I am wondering if i could use yarn as well. Anyone have expierience with ducklings and yarn? Is it safe?

My ducklings try to eat any string they find. So i would say no yarn is not safe. I hope your hatching goes well
