Ducklings are hatching

Thanks for the tag @Miss Lydia ! :)

I agree with @DuckyDonna . I never leave my ducklings in the incubator long either. I take them out fluff up their feathers a bit with a towel and put them in the brooder. They have always done well.

Since you have your brooder set up, I would do as @Miss Lydia suggested. The bottom does look like they could possibly get their feet stuck, and there doesn’t look to be much space. It would probably be best to remove them once hatched. :D

Best of luck with your new ducklings!
Fully out of the shell, right? Also, if one is not fully hatched will it die if I open the incubator to remove the hatched duckling? So many questions..😊

Yes, I don’t remove them from the incubator till they are fully out of the shell and detached. I hatch call ducks and open the incubator often to remove ducklings. I have never had an issue personally. I think as long as you remove them quickly and can stabilize the humidity rather quickly then it should be fine.
Maybe @shawluvsbirds will have some advice. :)

You know that cheap rubber like shelf liner you can get at the Dollar Tree? just cut a little piece of that to fit on the bottom of the incubator. It's got little holes in it so it will be fine. It's the stuff underneath the cool whip waterer.
