I have been sleeping most of the day because of the all night "waiting for the hatching" shift. I actually have to work tonight so I had to sleep today. Anyway, it's like having newborn babies, isn't it. I was holding both, the yellowish one would chirp her little head off and in the next second she would pass out and have her neck draped over my thumb. Sooooooo cute!!!Well having to wait a few days give you time to bond with these 2 littles. Can't wait to see them.
They are doing great! Just the sweetest new babiesHow are the ducklings doing?
The support I got here was priceless. So still one to go right? You did real good!
I checked temperature. It varies, they are in a long tote. I bought it today and changed from a short one to a long one. The end where the bulb is 102... the center is 98.7, and the end opposite the bulb is 85. I think the washroom their in is like low eighties for sure.Do you have a little thermometer that you can put in the brooder? If they are huddled together tight they may not be warm enough. I usually have a heat lamp in the brooder and then I'll throw a towel over at least 1/2 the top to hold in the heat.
Also, they are laying on opposite the bulb, probably too hot?I checked temperature. It varies, they are in a long tote. I bought it today and changed from a short one to a long one.
