Ducklings arrive tomorrow!!!

Ducklings with a few other friends are due to arrive tomorrow from Ideal! I'm so excited!
Cayugas - been wanting some forever
Magpies - because they are a favorite here
Swedish - because they are a favorite here
And other non duck friends

They shipped a day early so now the hubby has to pick them up since I'm busy tomorrow.

Oh I will! I've never had them shipped before, always just gotten them from RK/TS, or hatched my own. So I'm thrilled to say the least for my order to arrive tmw!

I’ve never done shipped either. I love hatching so much I don’t like buying ducklings any more

Exciting!! what are the few "other" friends? lol

2 Goslings - hoping for a guard goose (or two) to warn me when predators are lurking nearby.
2 male chicks - I have female chicks in a brooder already and I've decided I really like being able to raise/hatch my own ducklings so may as well make it possible with chicks too
4 straight run frizzle chicks - because I wanted something fun and they were on sale and polish were out of stock at the time. (I wanted polish)

I'm not allowed to buy ducklings at the store anymore... since I can hatch my own. But my latest batch of incubator duck eggs, I'm down to 2 left in the incubator, out of 8. And I was looking for specific breeds to add to my duck flock.

All this happened because my husband got me concert tickets for my birthday a few months ago, but then covid cancelled the concert. So I used that as an excuse to buy the ducklings I really wanted... LOL.

Sounds like an even trade! That sucks you’re down to 2, I had that happen once and it’s the worst. Can’t wait to see these babies!

I do have a friend's chicken eggs in the incubator at least, so I will hopefully have lots of hatching happening in 10 days or so as well... just most belong to my neighbor LOL.
