Ducklings arrive tomorrow!!!

when that happened to a box of chicks we got they all arrived dead and to make things worse it was a surprise pack all colors we didn't have got a new box and they were all colors we do have i still love them to this day they are almost a year old

Well have lost 2 ducklings so far. One was dead on arrival. Another just died in my hands a few minutes ago. A few others are looking iffy.

How heartbreaking! What an awful experience for your first time. What did the hatchery say when you talked to them?

I'm so sorry are you offering warm sugar water, tiny drops.Be sure they only get warm water to drink.

Yep tried sugar water. Did everything according to hatchery instructions. Think the extra day in the mail was the issue. Lost 3 ducklings so far.

I've never lost a duckling before. Chicks yes, but never a duckling, until today. Sucks. And they were breeds I specifically picked out because I can't get them locally in stores.

After my order in 2019 was so heartbreaking I decided to never order through the mail again. The hatchery should get after the PO. If they can't do better than this they shouldn't be sending live animals through the mail.

Aww so cute!! Good luck ducky mumma! I am so excited for you! I have 4 ducks 2 (m+f) miniature silver appleyard and 2 (m+f) and call duck and currently and 7 in the incubator!! Can't wait to meet the new quacky babies joining the family.
My ducks are amazing and have been such a positive addition to my home!!
I would love to see pics of your new babies too

I'm debating on reordering because the hatchery just got more availability for the ones I was wanting.
