Ducklings Arrived Today

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that my long awaited Runner ducklings arrived today, sadly, one was Dead On Arrival. I received a chocolate runner, blue runner, fawn and white runner and a black runner. The black one was the one to not survive the trip. They are cute as can be and peeping all loud and stuff (I thought these were supposed to be quiet ducks

) Anyway, I gave them grow gel and they ate that right up. They have been drinking water and eating like crazy, oh and they already took their first nap under the feather duster. Man, a nap sounds really good right now

. Hopefully they will keep doing well and I will send pictures of them out soon. They are so adorable, talk to you all soon.

So sorry about the one not surviving, the hatchery will probably send a replacement. Congrats on your new babies look forward to seeing pics!!

Thank you for your kind words, I also wanted to tell you that I too had 3 dachshunds and a mixed breed. One of my doxies passed away this past year so I am now down to 2 doxies. I have one mini and one tweenie. My doxie that passed away was a standard. I look forward to speaking to you sometime again down the road. Have a wonderful day.

Thank you and it's amazing how much we all have in common even with our other "pets" and so sorry for the loss of your doxie, They sure are a special breed of dog.

Yeah she was very special to me and my fiance'. She was his dog since a baby, she was a Hurricane Katrina rescue and we lost her at the young age of 8. There is no telling what she had went through while getting shushed around in the Flood all those years ago. I believe some of the issues she had came from that trauma. Anyway, enjoy all of your animals for as long as you can I know that I will.

Oh my gosh how sad and scary that had to have been for her, thank goodness she was rescued. We're actually on our 4th set of Dachshunds since we have been married, our 3 we have now are 6-4-3 and out last 3 died at pretty old ages , 13.5-14.5-16 years old. but you know that's still not long enough. We enjoy them everyday they are such sweet hearts. even our mix thinks she is a dachshund but her legs are too long. lol

They are adorable and messy!!! I am sad about the black one, but, stuff happens sometimes. I have already contacted the hatchery and they said that they will replace or just credit me back money. I will probably have them just credit me back money, the ones that I specifically picked survived and I am all good with that. Here are their pictures.
