Ducklings beak looks broken?

Was getting the ducklinhs fresh water and noticed this ones beak didnt look right. I cant imagine how it would have been bent but i didnt notice this at hatch. What is this?

Looks like a birth defect, maybe.... I haven't seen that kind of thing, much...

I wonder if some vitamins in the water once a week might help....

Have you posted on the duck forum? More hatchers check in there, and they may have seen something like this before.

I did speak to someone finally in the hatching thread. She did say birth defect from either hatching temps or because they were shipped eggs. Poor baby...

If she is eating fine, I reckon she's going to be alright. I know you'll love her no matter what.

Oh yes most definitely. We love her to pieces. I just hope she pulls through it. I'm not sure how this is going to effect her in the long run. No matter what we will give it our all though. She is already our baby.
