Ducklings Come today! Help me decide!

So this is my set up for the moment. I put down non slip drawer liners. The Tractor Supply Store didnt have any shavings left :barnie
And yes, they can get their whole faces into the chick waterer....for now at least.

That looks good to me.
 
I always use straw in my brooder boxes. I create a drainage system at the bottom by using PVC pipe and chicken wire. I place the chicken wire over the PVC pipe and put it on the bottom of the box. This creates about a 2 inch gap for water to drain into. It keeps the brooder box dry and you just have to remove the grate and drain the water every couple of days.
