Ok thanks! I saw their balding this morning, there was a large bald spot but now it seems like the fur grew back?? I guess it’s because their necks grew faster then the furmy friend had the same thing happen to her, and we never quite figured out why but we did notice the only places they lost fluff was where water touched them, as it seemed to make them itchy for some reason and they scratched it off. I believe she just stopped letting them swim and gave them smaller water dishes so they couldn't play in it, and she powdered them with food grade diatomaceous earth and a few other things, I can ask her for more details on how she solved it. Picture may help
Thanks!!! The fur grew back so fast! I think it might be because their necks grew faster then their furIt's normal for them to lose down and bring they are yellow it's more noticeable especially when wet. @Duck momm
Ok thanks!! Their bald patches disappeared! This morning it was really visible, looked like someone shaved a part of their neck but now it’s back! I think it might be because their necks grew faster than their fur and now the fur grew back on cause this morning their necks looked so much longer!!Post a picture if you want, but its likely balding which occurs right before they morph into their teenage feathers.
That's good news! Sounds like my friend's situation with her ducks' mysterious hair loss will remain an isolated case. What kind of ducks do you have? I miss having ducklings!Ok thanks!
