Best hatcheries to order ducklings in the southeast in the spring?
Undecided though for what breed but I have an idea.

IDEAL is in Texas. Don't order ducks but I was very impressed by their chicks and they don't have a minimum I believe
Ordered from Cackle in the springtime for Chicks and have not enjoyed my demeanor of my EEs (theyre total jerks except 1).
Their shipping was really nice, and they came in healty and all four survived.

don’t order from a hatchery please. shipping live day old babies is extremely cruel and lots of them die in the process! also adopt if possible ❤️

The ducks up for adoption came from somewhere...... Likely from a hatchery.
They also have unknown backgrounds.
Plus if you're ordering for meat, the adoption cost is prohibitive and they usually won't let you take the bird if you can even find any available for adoption

adopting an animal that would not have a home anyways, is much better than buying an animal that there is already too many of that need homes
Yeah, but not everyone can or wants to. Even if I wanted to adopt a duck, no one within 150 miles (yes I checked) has ducks for adoption.

And again, if you're getti bff ducks for meat, they'll not let you adopt.

And not everyone wants to fork over 100 bucks in fees for a duck that is older and that has an unknown history
