Ducklings in with chickens?

The only time I had ducks & chickens together was when they were together from 1 day old.
There were no conflicts, but the ducks finished all the chickens water and feed, and messed up the coop & yard.

In time they separated, especially the ducks. They would go to the end of the yard (we have stables converted to large coops for night and large yards to roam in during the day) and play in mud.
Now the ducks are in a different yard with trees, goats, electric fence and no coop. We added a new generation to them and each clan keeps to itself.

I think the chickens, especially of you have roosters, could be hostile to the ducklings.

I have my chickens in with my ducks and everyone gets along fine. The chickens are Jersey Giants and are very docile. I would be concerned about the chickens pecking the little ducklings.

Thanks for all the replies.
The ducks and chickens have been successfully integrated during the day. The chickens pretty much ignore the ducks and the ducks are cautious around the chickens. There hasn't been any violence, or squabbling.

Interestingly, the little 2' high gate I put across to keep the ducks in the run, is far to much for the chickens to deal with. They are running back and forth in front of it like it is a 20' high wall, then they fly over the 6' high fence.

Yes, I know that the ducks will eventually be able to get over the gate, but right now they have plenty to explore in the run, so have no interest in leaving. Eventually, I will replace the gate with something higher. I was just trying to make things easy for my chickens
