Long process. I wouldn’t say mine are 100% but they have reached a truce for the most part. I still have the divider with the door/curtain in the house. There’s a little jockeying between the groups at first but they settle. I’m also hoping winter unites them into one flock.
No they’re plastic igloo coolers with the handles and lids off. I’m sure styrofoam would have been a disaster!
In the daylight you can tell they’re red and white plasticyes lol wow they look like the styrofoam ones i just thought you had very well behaved ducks

That's good news! I feel like mine have achieved about 99% integration. They will share the pond briefly now, nap together, and the bedtime situation sharing the house is good. The babies will get nippy if there are treats being handed out but they're doing well. Sounds like you are on the cusp!Well the other day poor Mable was the unwilling recipient of my Drakes affections for the first time. Though I don't think it was too traumatic for her since today she initiated the interaction
Needless to say everyone continues to get along better slowly but surely. There's still some chasing on both sides but less often and only under certain circumstances now it seems. The girls wont all swim together though and Buttercup who would spend every moment in the pool gets chased out often. My dad feels bad for her (especially since her best friend SweetPea died a few weeks back) so he will separate them so she gets swim time haha. And some time ties Darla and Toke kick out the little ones so Buttercup can swim.
Treats are a bit of an issue still we need to have a Little duck and big duck distribution. But I think that's mainly due to the individual personality since bother Darla (older duck) and Mable (younger duck) are very good motivated and go nuts with treats and that results in a bit of an issue - mostly Darla chasing the others away so she can get all the treats haha
