Ducklings legs

I'm not sure if you bought the duckling or you hatched it, but we'd like to know how its splayed leg's progressed, was it noticeable when young, or did it happen over a week or so timespan. Either way, the duck needs to be put on a hobble, and offered niacin daily for leg strength, I also think water therapy would be beneficial, but since its legs are immobile she will need to be watched the entire time she is in the water to ensure she doesn't drown.

I should reemphasize that it is very important she be on bedding that offers traction, don't even let her on hard wood floors.

I think she said the duckling is being raised on towels. That is what I did with my ducklings last spring, but one still developed splay leg. I put shelf liner in to see if that helped. Ultimately I think it was just several weeks with vitamin B complex, swimming to exercise the legs, my support of her when she was trying to stand, and the hobbles which were on for several weeks.
