Ducklings skin peeling

My three ducklings are a week old and the skin on all of their legs are peeling. I don't see any sores or wounds and it looks like how skin is after a healed sunburn. Just dry and flaking off. Is that a normal thing that happens? I'm really new to ducklings and ducks period, so I'm worrying.

Um, I've never heard of sunburns on ducks, but maybe you can try vaseline. I know that you can put vaseline on a chickens crest when they get frostbite. I think you can put it on their feet too. I hope this helps.

It's normal for ducklings to shed their skin. As long as your not seeing any other problems with their skin this is normal.

My newest pair of ducklings are 8 days old and doing the same thing - looks quite reptilian! And all 3 of my duckling pairs have done this. Not to worry!
