Ducklings stolen from momma

Two streets behind my home. I can't see the ducklings because she has her gate meshed off and the bottom secure, obvious so they don't escape.

Have you tried going up and knocking on the door? She might think that she is doing the only good thing for them, maybe if you showed some things written by the game commission or something about how mother ducks take care of their babies.

Here ducks are considered livestock. She would be stealing livestock=rustling. ILLEGAL!! Report her to the police/sheriff in your area! Prosecute AND take her to small claims for the value of the ducks!

She already tried to call the cops, they did nothing. I hope mama and the remaining 2 babies are still locked up in your neighbor's yard!

Also if you know where she lives...well...maybe a midnight raid is in order. XD I'm kidding, I'm kidding...I'd never tell you to trespass to rescue them. I mean I'd probably do it, but I'm not what you would call normal. Or sane.

Today a lady drove up in her car at my neighbors house and stole four one week old baby ducklings from their mother, she tried to take all nine before my neighbor caught her and confronted her, she said she was saving them from the turtles at the lake. My neighbor tried to get them from her backseat but she threatened her, my neighbor backed off and she sped off. She did get her license plate number. I'm afraid she will come back for the other five. I called police, animal control but they don't do anything. I feel so bad for those babies and the momma, she was showing them off to the neighborhood so proudly. Is this illegal?is there anything I could do? Makes me so sad and angry at this heartless person!

OH NO! The poor things! That's so sad that they won't do anything about it! That horrid person.

Update on missing ducklings:
The next day after this cruel lady took four of momma ducks baby ducklings, momma duck decided she would take
her remaining five down to the lake for the night.
I was terrified this lady would return for more
I checked on them late at night and she had them under her wings near the water I felt ok with this, then sadly the next morning she had only two ducklings. My suspicion is the lady returned but I cannot prove that, but I can prove she took the four. My neighbor now has momma duck and her two ducklings safe in her backyard where she is taking very good care of them, we just can't let this lady get the last two. This is a cruel situation,and I have no where to turn for help in tracking this lady down and demand she returns the ducklings.
I'm sure some have died by now. I will write letters and post flyers in my community
Do all I can to let this lady know we are on to her!! Thanks everyone for your advice

That's horrible! Who knows what that lady is doing with the little ducklings. She might be treating them horribly! It's so sad to hear about things like this.

Something is weird...IF she did this all the time, then either there have been groups of babies running around 'lost' at times, which doesn't seem to be the case as it wasn't mentioned, or it was a lie made up in the moment...I'll bet on the latter...It's strange behavior either way...

I think Kyexotics ment that the lady who stole the ducklings lied about doing that all the time.
