I don't have ducks, but one of my friends used to have them for fun.They were cute but got really big.She kept them just for fun why do you keep them?

This is a photo of "Independent Duckling" (AKA Indy) and his little sister, Sweetie, who were very friendly. Indy got in a little accident a few months later and was taken to a wildlife hospital. I think they released him already, but they haven't told me. Anyway, their mama had five ducklings and all of them survived. She was the only mother to have her entire brood survive this year.

This is the same mother who had another brood of nine a few months later. I love this photo because it shows all the ducklings under mama mallard even though it was 95 degrees out. Unfortunately, when the temperature suddenly dropped 25 degrees a few days later, the ducklings all died.
