I also ordered my ducks from Metzer's and they were two female Mallards. I wanted them pinioned so that they would not be able to fly away but they forgot to do it. I have to clip their wing so that they don't fly as they can clear a 6 foot fence easily and have. My Khaki's can fly also. I clip their wing. One is very quiet and one very loud. My Muscovy hens can also fly. They are sweet though and very quiet. I clip their wing also. I have Rouen's which are a cross from a Mallard duck and a Pekin that have been great and do not fly. They are now 6 years old and I don't know if they will lay any eggs this year or not because of their age. I have a large Mule duck, cross between a Muscovy and Rouen that can fly also. I clip her wing. I live in Ohio and my ducklings from Metzer came from California with no problems at all. Good luck with your choices. Ducks can be very addictive. I have Runners in the back of my mind all the time and I do not need any more ducks!!! LOL

Those sound like great choices. I started out with only two but now I have 14. The more I see different ones the more I want them. lol I have no self control.

I'm not sure, sometime of spring next year. We are planning some trips in spring though so it may be put off.
