Ducks act drunk

My brother has ducks and he said they are acting lazy and like they are drunk, walk about 10 ft then lay down. Had one die yesterday. Anyone know what could be going on? Thanks

@jdmekus could be they have gotten into some kind of toxin, it could be anything from stagnant water with bacteria to something dead animal or a plant they shouldn't have eaten. Or could be metal toxicity but wouldn't think all of them would have ingested metal screws nail etc
