So in case you guys aren't sick of me squawking on about it by now, I've got two Call Duck eggs in my bator. I REALLY hope they both hatch! But my question is, I intend to keep them as house ducks since I have no backyard and I've always wanted a pet house duck. The problem is, I also have two cats. They're pretty mellow, but obviously I still worry.

Has anyone else out there successfully introduced their house ducks to an existing pet? I've seen a couple of households with ducks and dogs, but no cats. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I can tell you that one of my cats likes the ducks but they make her a little nervous, and the other two cats are terrified of them. All the cats seem to leave the ducks alone, but I don't leave them around each other unsupervised.

And I don't get tired of questions. Sometimes I run out of time to offer suggestions, but would rather people go ahead and ask. Then we all feel better.

I have had 3 cats since getting ducks my first 2 were brothers that I were about a year old when I got my first ducks they were both outside cats and never bothered the ducks at all. Unfortunately one of my cats went outside and never came back. So my bf who really loves animals (thank god) decided we should get another cat and we did but he's an inside cat and when I got my ducklings this year he tried playing with them through the puppy pen they were in while inside and I had to yell at him a few times for doing so. He's a very playful cat. My other cat just leaves them alone even though he hunts birds he leaves my ducks alone.

ETA: I also have a dog who loves them but other than the occasional lick he leaves them alone.
