We got three Cayuga ducks and 10 chickens (variety of breeds) on Easter. One of the ducks died early on, but the rest are growing well. I have a duck house/yard built and a chicken coop built. There are plans to build another chicken coop for the rooster (We think we have one) and two hens. That way we have a coop of breeders and one of layers.
The big things I am currently wondering about are how to sex the chickens (none have started to strut or crow) and how much the ducks eat (seems like a lot of feed).
We do love having them and are anxious for the eggs.
