Can ducks and chickens be housed together?

Yes however be preared to have to clean out often and give birds space to get away from each others shananigans as ducks are incredibly messy and chickens are not so.

Welcome to BYC. Yes they can be kept together, but ducks can really mess up the water and coop. Drakes breeding chicken hens can also cause problems.

Chickens do not and can not coexists with other birds

Don't believe them they can all use the same yard

It's better to keep them separate - ducks are very messy and splash out the water dishes - chickens do not want to be wet. again Drakes can seriously injure or kill hens trying to breed them.

They are not built to duck standards.

i know.
my ducks even fall into the chicken pecking order but i think they r all quite low down
