Ducks and chicks in the same trough at TSC

I got my original 6 from TSC, beginning of Covid, lost one at 2 weeks to an unfortunate accident the other 5 have been pretty good. At least issues I’ve had I can’t blame TSC for. It’s like everything else there, sometimes you get lucky, I won’t buy ducks from them again, but mainly I now know more and want what I want. I worry how many impulse birds get bought and neglected or worse.
Yeah, it's a lot like those stores that sell puppies from puppy mills. They often die and people buy them without knowing anything about them or having anything setup. It's like adopting a baby all of a sudden with no crib, diapers, food, or knowledge about them, except it's legal and normal. Sad world.

Yes.

Was at TSC for unrelated reasons, they had chicks and they had ducks, but they were mixed, said assorted ducks, boy wouldn’t that be a surprise to someone! Perhaps in other areas it’s different but the dimmer switch has been turned down on many of our local TSC employees. 🤔
They all looked like Pekins to me but who knows. Also this little dude on the feeder was pretty cool, not sure how he got there but he was quite proud of himself! View attachment 2327162View attachment 2327164

That is why I don't purchase any birds from TSC. I can't help, but mention the overcrowded conditions their being kept in, and not to mention, the intermixing of chicks and ducklings, which almost suggests there trying to promote coccidiosis growth in that brooder.
