ducks and dogs, will they ever be friends??

We have the opposite problem of most of the posters. Our male pekin constantly attacks our 120 lb American Bulldog. He tries to attack our boxer but he thinks it's a game and just runs away. Eventually the bulldog gets aggravated and will start nipping at the duck until he stops, but sometimes she will try to pin the duck with a paw and in afraid one of these days the duck is going to get himself hurt. Any tips for taming an aggressive duck?

Keep them separated drakes especially will think they are the rotties of the duck world and don't realize that a dog can kill with one bite. When I trained my geese to stop going after my dogs I used a long pole and kept it with me every time I let the geese and dogs out together[never without me there] When the geese start after one of the dogs I step out and put the pole in between them and stop the geese from advancing. I haven't had this problem with my drakes but I did have one of my dogs grab on of my geese and pull a bunch of chest feathers out so I feel very blessed that is all she got. But she had been pushed to the limit by this gander and she retaliated. Dogs can kill pretty easily it's up to us to protect our ducks and flocks and to teach our ducks geese or what ever it maybe to respect our dogs and us.

The only problem I have with my dog and the ducks is my dog wont stop eating the duck poop.

and now this one eats the duck poo! And, it's not like the duck poo is confined to one spot like the kitty fudge was...they free range our 10 acres. blech!

It is disgusting, I keep saying i am going to stop buying expensive dog food and just let them forage on all the chicken, duck and goose poop they want.
