So.... Being new to raising ducks, and following @New2DuckyDoodles and her thread "what the ducky is this" raised some questions.... How the duck do I train my ducklings to eat fish? How often can they have them? How old do they need to be before giving them the little watery critters? And if I don't have a pond, where is the best place to source some for a pond?
So much going on in my head. Trying to plan a run that includes a pond but trying overcome the "poo settles at the bottom causing problems" hurdle. What is the best type of pond setup so that I can naturally provide little fish without a lot of space to do so. I can afford a run that is up to 18x30?
Mostly just want to have my head wrapped around it all so we can officially start their build....

Can you use duck poo in the garden or is it bad for plants like chicken poo? We talked about a drainage spout to water the garden with....
I water my plants with the kiddie pool water..

So feeder fish are cool? At what age can you start giving those to them?
3 weeks or younger?..Mine eat frogs in the summer too.
Drop peas in the water to teach them to dive for food. They chase anything..

These are my newest babies! I inherited the two oddballs from TSC as they were weak on arrival. Any idea what the spotty one is?
