Ducks and geese not eating.

My entire flock seems to have slowed way down in eating their pellets. They are eating about half of what they had been eating. No one seems sick. I have noticed them heading out in little groups to forage a lot more though. I'm wondering if with all the rain we are getting, they are getting more bugs that live in the soil... I dunno.

Mine have decided that they don't like pellets at all. So they forage instead, or wait for other treats and the chickens eat the pellets (and my dogs, and the wild birds).
I gave the ducks a handful of wheat/barley scratch just before bedtime one night and they scooped it up! So I've decided not to waste pellets on the ducks. They aren't laying right now anyway. A friend of mine feeds wheat exclusively, year round, to chickens, ducks, peafowl and geese and all are perfectly healthy. I'll keep offering oyster shell once the laying resumes.

Oh, I ran out of peas one day and treated them to frozen (thawed) corn. Stand back, folks! It's a stampede!!!!
