Ducks and silk worms

So we have a couple of silkworm nests in our pecan tree. We know that our babies LOVE mealworms but are unsure if they can have silk worms....does anyone know if its safe to give them silk wotms?

Are these also called tent caterpillars? Mine won't touch anything with fuzz

i dont think they'll eat them, my chickens wont even eat them

I thought you meant actual silkworms--as in the kind that creates silk. Mine eats silkworms, I don't have tent caterpillars so I don't know about them, but we had an infestation of gypsy moth caterpillars and my muscovies hoovered them up. They kind of eat anything that moves though--including bees. Poor honeybees. I felt so bad when I watched them chasing them down and chomping on them.
