Ducks and string

I'm new to ducks and one swallowed a heavy string. Suggestions?

How long and thick was the string?
I would offer grit, and maybe even give coconut oil. The oil may help it pass easier.

I'm not sure how much he ingested. It's baling twine. I cut it so he wouldn't take in more. He's taking in some grit and water. Will try the coconut oil.

Okay, well its great he's eating grit and drinking water. Definitely give some coconut oil.
I would just be keeping a close eye on him. Its likely he'll be fine, I've seen other people's birds on here eat things and be perfectly fine. I hope it is the same case for your boy!

I think Tookie gave some good advice! A lot of times after swallowing something they shouldn't they turn out okay. Keep tabs on her and if you are looking for more advice you can post in the Emergency Forum.
