ducks arrived!

Hope the chickies get better! I line our brooders with puppy pads, then top with thin layer shavings...then add more a couple times a day to cover damp shavings and doody spots. LOL Then every other day or so I do a pull (pull out the funky bedding) and then add fresh. The older they got the more I had to this part. Eventually I ended up with 3 bins by 2 weeks old. The fewer in the small brooders, the neater they would stay. The pekins were tidier in the beginning but by week 2 they had turned into hogs.

Thanks. Luckily i don't have a huge batch. We've got 10 in a mix of Swedish, Cayuga, and Mallards. Their in a 2'x4' stock tank for their brooder. They are little poop machines though. And definately much, much more robust than the chicks. We had our hands full getting their leg bands off this morning.
