My hens keep pecking my poor duck’s lower back. And I’m unsure of how to get it to heal? What should I put on it and should or can I wrap it? It’s about a half a dollar size gash. Please help!
the best thing for most chicken wounds,i have found, especially those caused by other birds, is a product called no peck or something like that. it has tee tree oil, and herbal oils that the chickens don't like the taste of, plus it stays on the wound longer...super glue works really well too for closing skin tears such as attacks by dogs, etc.
Will do! I send a before and after pic after I cover the area.Make sure to put enough to really cover the area.
So I tried my hardest to clean the wound and I added some antibacterial spray that I have from TSC. And then I took my chick pen and made it into her personal duck pen, where she can still see the flock but nobody will bother her. Also that purple antipecking goo stained her feathers! (When I was putting it in her she kept moving!) Will the staining eventually leave?Make sure to put enough to really cover the area.
