Duck's bill won't close

I received this duckling from someone who hatched it and kept it for about a week. It is very attached to humans and freaked out when I placed it in a brooder with my two ducklings (all about 1 week old). New duck went ballistic and rubbed its bill until it bled. I moved all 3 to a larger brooder and things were better. New duckling is still not entirely social with the other two but it's coming around. Today I noticed that the new duckling can't close its bill. It is eating and drinking fine. Does this self-correct? Should I be concerned? I think it's a Mallard.

Looks like a deformity. I don't think it will correct, but if the baby can eat and drink okay, it might be able to live like that just fine.

Can't close its bill, or just doesn't, like it's panting?
